Executive Vice President (EVP) Finance – Insurance & Investments

About the role
The Executive Vice President (EVP) Finance will provide strategic and operational financial leadership for a group operating across insurance, investment, asset management and related financial services. Reporting to the Group CFO and working closely with the CEO, Board and business‑unit leaders, the EVP will drive financial performance, capital efficiency and long‑term value creation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead enterprise‑wide financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
- Oversee financial performance of subsidiaries, business units and investment platforms.
- Drive group‑wide FP&A, management reporting, financial modelling and commercial finance.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, margins, cash flow, ROE, ROIC and return on capital.
- Manage insurance finance functions including premiums, claims, reserves, reinsurance and underwriting profitability.
- Provide financial leadership for investment and asset‑management businesses, covering portfolio reporting, valuation and performance analysis.
- Lead strategic capital planning, solvency, liquidity and balance‑sheet optimisation.
- Oversee treasury, funding, cash management and liquidity planning.
- Establish financial governance, internal controls, accounting policies and risk‑management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, insurance and investment regulations.
- Lead financial due diligence for M&A, joint ventures and strategic investments.
- Partner with actuarial, risk, compliance, legal, treasury and operations on major decisions.
- Drive cost optimisation, operational efficiency and profitability improvement.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives such as ERP modernisation, automation, AI/data analytics and digital dashboards.
- Maintain senior relationships with regulators, auditors, investors, lenders and rating agencies.
Required profile
- Senior finance executive with extensive experience in insurance, investment or asset‑management businesses.
- Proven track record in capital planning, solvency management and balance‑sheet optimisation.
- Strong background in financial governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading large FP&A teams and driving finance transformation.
- Ability to advise C‑suite, Board and Executive Committee on strategic financial matters.
- Excellent stakeholder management with regulators, auditors, investors and rating agencies.
