Technology Specialist (Associate) - IT Support

About the role

EY is hiring a Technology Specialist (Associate) for its IT Technology Experience Support team in the Cayman Islands. The role covers multiple technology support activities, providing customer support to EY Firm personnel. It sits under the direct oversight of a supervisor, with regular contact to monitor and assign activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the deployment, installation and configuration of IT technology equipment.
• Assist with provisioning and de-provisioning, including setting up hardware and software for new hires and receiving hardware from departing employees.
• Coordinate repairs of end-user hardware and software reinstallation to resolve incidents.
• Perform asset management activities (procurement, receipt, inventory, tracking, distribution) in line with firm policy and IT service processes.
• Resolve incidents involving firm-standard software and hardware, including mobile and hand-held devices.
• Provide after-hours service for escalated issues from the Service Desk or supervisor, with minimal supervision.
• Manage nightly tape backups, tape rotation and storage.
• Support office moves, build-outs, relocations and acquisitions, and give off-site support for firm-sponsored meetings.
• Act as "remote hands" for telecommunications, networking and hosting functions.
• Deliver technology training to new hires during onboarding and orientation.

Required profile

• Minimum Associate's degree in information technology, computer science or another relevant major.
• At least 2 years of experience in end-user technology support; experience with mobile applications, Windows 11 and Outlook preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, as overtime is required during peak periods.
• Excellent project management skills, handling multiple work streams and stakeholders against tight deadlines.
