Service Desk Operator

About the role

The Service Desk Operator will provide first‑line technical support for hardware and software issues and assist with the installation, configuration, and management of IT hardware and the firm’s Helpdesk application.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve Helpdesk requests in line with firm policies.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and related equipment.
• Create, maintain, and improve the Helpdesk Knowledge Base.
• Maintain accurate documentation of software, systems, procedures, and common technical issues.
• Assist with user account administration, access requests, and general IT support.
• Support reporting, data‑related, and other technical tasks as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or relevant certifications.
• At least two years of relevant IT experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to maintain confidentiality and work overtime when needed.

Required skills

• Microsoft operating systems.
• Basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Remote support tools and remote troubleshooting.
• Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
• SharePoint (on‑premises or Online).
• Basic SQL querying and database concepts.
• Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Visual Studio.

What we offer

• Salary range US$45,000 – US$80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
