General Manager / Managing Director for Luxury Resort

About the role

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an accomplished, visionary General Manager/Managing Director to lead the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa and the Sunshine Hotel & Suites Grand Cayman. This senior role oversees two flagship properties, driving exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a culture of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to drive growth and profitability across both properties.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of department heads, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee all operational areas including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, spa, and recreational facilities.
• Manage budgeting, financial performance, revenue generation, and corrective actions.
• Ensure guest‑centric service, address feedback promptly, and implement loyalty initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance physical assets, lead capital projects, and drive sustainability initiatives.
• Stay compliant with local and national regulations, health, and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record as a high‑volume, large‑resort General Manager or Managing Director.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive hospitality experience, preferably with Caribbean or international resort exposure.
• College degree in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism Management, or equivalent experience.
• Bi‑lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Extensive resort/hotel preventative maintenance and facilities management knowledge.
• Experience with hotel renovation projects.
• Familiarity with Marriott brand operations and independent hotel environments.
