Cabin Crew Member

About the role

Cayman Airways is hiring a full-time Cabin Crew Member based in George Town, Grand Cayman. The role covers passenger service, safety and emergency duties on board, with a focus on high standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all company, government, airline policies, regulations and procedures, and accept direction to maintain high customer service standards
• Take on duties assigned by the Senior Cabin Crew Member and stay up to date with in-flight procedures
• Maintain and carry out safety responsibilities, including demonstrating the use of safety and emergency equipment
• Take part in pre-flight briefings on cabin conditions and flight details
• Keep a high standard of personal appearance, presentation and conduct
• Serve meals or snacks and sell beverages

Required profile

• High school or college graduate; valid passport required
• Minimum height of 5'4" with weight in proportion to height; females must be able to wear heels on duty
• At least 2 years' experience in customer service or a related role
• Willingness to work scheduled weekends, early mornings, late nights and all public holidays, and to be notified at the last minute of reporting irregularities
• Willingness to travel long distances by aircraft
• Pre-employment medical tests (hearing, vision and standard medical tests)

Required skills

• Good command of English and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure and in emergencies
• Good numeracy for handling cash, including foreign exchange
• First Aid / CPR / AED certification and ability to respond to illness or evacuation emergencies
• Swimming ability and knowledge of security, customs, travel laws and immigration regulations (advantageous)
