Barista / Bartender

About the role

agua is looking for a skilled and versatile Barista & Beverage Specialist in Grand Cayman. The role covers preparing and serving high-quality coffee during the day and showing knowledge of cocktails and mixed drinks during evening service. The ideal candidate is a team player, adaptable to different roles depending on operational needs, and proactive about keeping stock and supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages to the highest standards, and keep the coffee station clean and organised.
• Deliver excellent customer service at the counter.
• During evening operations, prepare cocktails, mocktails and other beverages, create premix batches and keep chillers stocked.
• Help develop and suggest new beverage recipes.
• Support front-of-house servers during peak hours or when coffee service is light, and help in other areas of operations when needed.
• Work flexible, rotational shifts including evenings, weekends and emergencies.
• Monitor and track stock levels for coffee and beverages, report shortages to the manager and order supplies on time.
• Maintain accurate records of stock usage and wastage.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Barista and/or Bartender with cocktail knowledge.
• Strong multitasking ability and adaptability to changing situations.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and support during staff shortages.

Required skills

• Cocktail preparation and mixed drink knowledge.
• Inventory management is a plus.
