Seasonal F&B Support Expert (Server Attendant) - CAYMANIANS ONLY

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton in Grand Cayman is hiring a Seasonal F&B Support Expert (Server Attendant) for Saint June, open only to Caymanians. The role welcomes guests with warm greetings, flawless table settings and precise service, and supports the Food and Beverage Department before and after dining events. It involves serving food and beverages, communicating with the kitchen and keeping work areas clean.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests, recommend dishes and answer menu questions
• Communicate with the kitchen about menu questions, product availability, dietary restrictions, allergies and special requests
• Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china and glass, and complete closing duties such as restocking
• Present the check accurately and process payment
• Prepare dining and event documentation, restaurant reservations and coordinate with group sales, catering sales and hotel departments
• Record transactions in MICROS or Opera as appropriate
• Set up and break down function rooms and event spaces to group requirements

Required profile

• 2-3 years of previous food and beverage serving experience
• Hospitality graduate or certified service professional
• Customer and team oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible hours, weekends and holidays; able to stand for long periods and work outdoors in Caribbean weather
• Able to move, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Required skills

• Excellent guest service and communication skills; English required
• Knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage, especially meats and wine
• POS experience (Oracle Hospitality Symphony desirable)
