Server Assistant

About the role

The Server Assistant keeps the dining area clean and sets tables efficiently, courteously and accurately, while serving guests well and acting as an advocate for the restaurant. The role involves developing personal guest relationships and may include extra tasks as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and set tables to restaurant standards.
• Deposit dishes in the dish room or specified area.
• Pull dirty plates from tables while guests are still seated.
• Serve beverages promptly and stock bussing stations.
• Clean stations, including sweeping floors with the tools provided.
• Perform buffet set-up and refills if needed.
• Assist with room service and help other restaurant staff, such as expediting food to tables.
• Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Required profile

• 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred; willing to train.
• Food Handler certification (if applicable).
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Hardworking and dedicated, with a real passion for hospitality.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point of sale system.

What we offer

• Salary of $8.00 to $10.00 USD per hour, plus gratuities.
