Senior Business Development Executive

About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join its Investment Funds practice in the Cayman Islands. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, you will help shape and execute the practice’s growth strategy while providing operational support to the business development function.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Business Development Manager to develop and implement BD plans aligned with practice objectives.
• Track, analyse and report on business development activities, measuring outcomes, follow‑up actions and ROI.
• Utilise internal BD, marketing technologies and databases for planning, targeting, execution and measurement.
• Coordinate events, sponsorships, client briefings, referrer gatherings, conferences and other profile‑raising initiatives.
• Project‑manage legal directory submissions, including timelines, partner input, deal highlights and interview preparation.
• Support partners in targeting and developing new and existing clients, aligning with CRM programmes.
• Prepare briefing packs, client research, high‑quality credentials, tailored proposals, pitches and RFP responses.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development within financial or legal services.
• Collaborative, conscientious and driven with a strong sense of purpose.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM platforms and marketing databases.
