Senior Tax Manager – Hedge Fund & Private Equity

About the role

As a Senior Tax Manager at Deloitte, you will lead a practice focused on global hedge fund and private equity clients, overseeing compliance and consulting services for U.S. and foreign partnerships and corporations. Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a book of business targeting hedge fund and private equity clients.
• Provide compliance and consulting services for U.S. and cross‑border partnerships and corporations.
• Stay current on U.S. tax laws and policy developments and apply them to client engagements.
• Lead business development initiatives and cultivate new client relationships.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s or JD/LLM in taxation preferred.
• Professional designation allowing practice before the US IRS (CPA, attorney, or Enrolled Agent).
• Minimum 7 years of tax experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and investment‑management industry, especially hedge funds and private equity.

Required skills

• Expertise in U.S. tax law and cross‑border tax regulations.
• Experience with tax compliance for partnerships, corporations, and investment vehicles.
