Trainee Accountant

About the role

DM Financial is looking for a motivated Caymanian candidate to join a full‑time training contract and work towards a professional accountancy qualification. You will be part of a global team, supporting a diverse client base across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with company incorporations, drafting constitutional documents and completing filings.
• Work with DM’s global teams on IFRS, FRS 102 and US GAAP reporting for clients.
• Draft board meeting minutes and resolutions, and support client onboarding and due‑diligence reviews.
• Maintain and review client AML information and manage corporate records, filings and compliance tasks.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory authorities and DM’s international offices, and support other departments such as liquidation, audit and management accounting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Actively pursuing or willing to enrol in a professional accountancy qualification with a long‑term commitment.
• Strong project, time‑management and decision‑making abilities, with high attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative, self‑motivated attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with IFRS, FRS 102, US GAAP reporting standards.
• Knowledge of AML processes and regulatory systems such as CAP, CORIS and REEFs.
