Senior Trust Officer

About the role

The Senior Trust Officer will oversee a portfolio of Cayman Islands trusts, companies, private trust companies and related private‑client structures. Acting as the primary Cayman‑based contact, you will ensure that each structure is administered in line with its governing documents, applicable law and TMF Group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, settlors, beneficiaries, protectors, family offices and professional advisers.
• Maintain oversight of trust assets, banking arrangements and investment holdings, keeping records complete and up‑to‑date.
• Review and interpret trust deeds, letters of wishes and constitutional documents to ensure compliant administration.
• Prepare and review trustee and corporate documentation such as minutes, resolutions, deeds and statutory registers.
• Assess and coordinate distribution, appointment, loan and investment requests, ensuring proper supporting information is obtained.
• Provide governance oversight of trust administration delivered by the Hong Kong team, monitoring KPIs, service levels and compliance with internal policies.
• Assist with fee reviews, billing processes and support the collections team.
• Ensure timely completion of periodic trust reviews, management accounts, annual financial statements and regulatory reporting (FATCA/CRS, Economic Substance, Beneficial Ownership).

• Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross‑border teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FATCA reporting requirements.
• Understanding of CRS (Common Reporting Standard) obligations.
• Familiarity with Economic Substance legislation.
• Experience with Beneficial Ownership reporting.
