Compliance Officer – Financial Services (Cayman Islands)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading Cayman Islands financial and corporate services group to hire a Compliance Officer. This position offers the opportunity to transition from an audit background into a broader in‑house compliance function, working closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Assist with the oversight and management of the Group’s compliance activities and regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and file regulatory reports, including Economic Substance, Beneficial Ownership, and FATCA/CRS filings.
• Conduct daily transaction monitoring and electronic screening.
• Maintain the compliance monitoring programme and perform periodic reviews.
• Liaise with client‑facing teams on day‑to‑day compliance matters.
• Review client files on an ongoing basis and support data‑protection and cyber‑incident handling.
• Prepare documentation for Board and internal meetings.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Current residency in the Cayman Islands.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage a busy workload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident, collaborative personality capable of influencing stakeholders.

What we offer

• Annual salary US$85,000–$90,000.
