Certifying Technician 1 (Boeing 737-8)

About the role

Cayman Airways is looking for a Certifying Technician 1 in its George Town base. The technician carries out maintenance on company aircraft under the direction of the Maintenance Controller, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and company requirements, and supervises work done by staff or contracted agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions assigned by the Maintenance Controller in a timely and economical way.
• Carry out and supervise maintenance work on company aircraft at the assigned station, whether done by Cayman Airways staff or contracted personnel.
• Use the appropriate manuals (AMM, IPC, WDM, SRM etc.) and certify all work in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Travel to other stations to provide maintenance support when needed.
• Ensure tools, equipment, vehicles and facilities are handled, kept clean and used safely.
• Keep up to date with aircraft maintenance, airworthiness procedures and technical developments.

Required profile

• Licensed Aircraft Technician issued by an ICAO contracting state acceptable to the Governor, with ATA Spec 104 Level 2 training on the Boeing 737-8.
• CT1 certification.
• At least 5 years of total experience, including 3 years on the B737-8.
• Able to work on call, nights, weekends and public holidays on a scheduled basis.

Required skills

• Computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
