Senior Tax Advisor – Wealth & Asset Management (FSO)

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Tax Advisor to join its Financial Services Office (FSO) within the Wealth & Asset Management practice. You will work on tax compliance and advisory projects for hedge funds, mutual funds and private equity funds, supporting clients across the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, local and international tax compliance for asset‑management clients.
• Provide advisory services on fund structuring, tax planning and on‑call advice.
• Analyse trading reports to identify tax characteristics, wash sales, constructive sales, straddles and other securities issues.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on complex client matters and develop tax strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while ensuring high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Solid technical knowledge in asset‑management taxation.
• Ability to identify and address complex tax technical issues before review.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients and internal leadership.
• Experience working on hedge fund, mutual fund or private‑equity fund tax matters.
