Manager – Portfolio Operations

About the role

Harmonic is seeking a Manager – Portfolio Operations to lead its Cayman office operations team. The role oversees data management, reconciliations, loan processing, fund accounting and ad‑hoc reporting, ensuring client deliverables are met on time and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Operations team and ensure delivery of agreed internal and external commitments.
• Capture, process and price security transactions, including corporate actions.
• Act as escalation point for settlement and operational issues, coordinating with trading counterparties and senior management.
• Produce accurate daily, weekly and monthly position and cash reconciliations.
• Collaborate with brokers, investment managers and internal accountants to resolve reconciliation breaks and maintain valuation integrity.
• Support transparency reporting preparation and contribute to enhancements of the operating model.
• Allocate resources, conduct performance reviews, recruit and train Assistant Managers.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA or equivalent) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with complex securities and derivative products, including trade booking, settlement and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of alternative investment products and offshore financial services.
