Junior Treasury Dealer – Banking

About the role

Butterfield is seeking a motivated Junior Treasury Dealer to support the daily management of its Repo, Money Market and Foreign Exchange books. This entry‑level position offers exposure to core treasury functions within a leading offshore bank.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day‑to‑day operations of the bank’s Repo, Money Market and FX books.
• Place and take funds in Repo and Money Markets, ensuring adequate balances in correspondent accounts.
• Help enhance returns on bank funds while maintaining liquidity within internal and regulatory limits.
• Support reporting requirements and maintain the client deposit interest rate structure.
• Prepare and publish deposit rate sheets for client‑facing teams and provide ad‑hoc deposit rates.
• Quote spot and forward FX rates to clients, monitor exposure and manage interbank market risk.
• Collaborate with Treasury and client‑facing teams to promote bank services and develop relationships.
• Assist in reviewing and updating Treasury procedure manuals.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a finance‑related degree and strong academic record.
• Any prior financial experience (internship or work) is advantageous.
• Highly self‑motivated, organized and able to work under pressure in fast‑moving markets.
• Excellent numerical, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Calm temperament to meet tight deadlines and handle high‑value tickets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
