Enterprise Risk Management & Assurance Officer

About the role

Knighthead is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Enterprise Risk Management & Assurance Officer to join its Risk and Compliance Department in the Cayman Islands. You will work across U.S. and Cayman‑based insurance and reinsurance businesses, gaining broad exposure to risk, compliance, governance and regulatory matters while collaborating with senior stakeholders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the ERM platform, enterprise and entity‑level risk registers, inventories and related documentation.
• Support mapping and alignment of enterprise risks, business‑process risks and controls.
• Assist with enterprise and business‑unit risk assessments and track remediation actions.
• Monitor emerging risks, industry trends and regulatory developments that may impact the organisation.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, presentations and governance meeting packs.
• Coordinate ERM meetings, record actions and drive follow‑up.
• Support development and implementation of the global ERM programme and related projects.
• Assist the Risk and Compliance Department with regulatory monitoring, compliance reporting and assurance activities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in enterprise risk management, compliance or assurance within insurance or reinsurance.
• Highly organized, proactive and detail‑oriented.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work with senior stakeholders across global operations.
