Cyber Security Engineer III

About the role

Harmonic’s Cayman office is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer III to strengthen its fund services security program. The role will design, implement and oversee cybersecurity policies, controls and incident response across on‑premise, cloud and third‑party environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and triage security alerts from SIEM tools, ensuring timely escalation.
• Conduct proactive threat‑hunting activities to uncover hidden risks.
• Lead incident‑response efforts, coordinating containment, investigation and remediation.
• Develop and maintain the cybersecurity strategic roadmap, policies, standards and security awareness program.
• Perform risk assessments of internal systems and third‑party partners, supporting SOC 2 and other compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to embed security controls in solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security monitoring, threat hunting and incident response.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment, compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2) and security governance.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate security concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
