Assistant Manager – Fund Accounting

About the role

Harmonic is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Fund Accounting team in the Cayman office. The role focuses on the administration of complex investment funds, ensuring accurate portfolio valuation, NAV calculation and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review fund offering memorandums and verify alignment with fund setup and ongoing operations.
• Coordinate with investment managers, prime brokers and custodians to obtain trading data for NAV preparation.
• Perform weekly, bi‑weekly, monthly or quarterly NAV reviews for a portfolio of funds.
• Reconcile cash, assets and liabilities, including three‑way reconciliations with managers and custodians.
• Validate third‑party pricing (e.g., Bloomberg) and calculate management, incentive and shareholder allocations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and group‑level reporting.
• Liaise with auditors during year‑end and interim periods to support audit procedures.
• Participate in client relationship management, new business integration and special projects.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of fund structures, NAV calculations and financial statements.
• Experience working with investment managers, custodians and prime brokers.
• Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines and manage multiple client obligations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
