Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director to lead the financial management and performance of our insurance and investment businesses. The role reports to the CFO and works closely with the CEO, Investment, Actuarial, Risk and Business leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day finance function, translating business objectives into financial plans and performance targets.
• Oversee financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, regulatory reporting, treasury, financial controls, investment accounting and performance analysis.
• Provide accurate financial insight, support strategic planning and ensure strong financial governance.
• Manage insurance finance, monitoring premiums, claims, reserves, commissions, expenses and underwriting performance.
• Supervise investment finance and accounting, monitoring income, gains/losses and portfolio performance.
• Direct treasury and cash‑management activities, maintaining liquidity and monitoring exposures.
• Support capital planning, balance‑sheet management and solvency reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance leadership roles.
• Commercial focus with ability to translate strategy into financial plans.
• Experience in insurance and investment finance environments.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with senior executive teams.
