Audit Manager – Asset Management

About the role

Grant Thornton in the Cayman Islands is seeking an Audit Manager to join its Asset Management team. You will report directly to partners and directors, overseeing a portfolio of alternative investment fund clients while delivering high‑quality audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the audit process for multiple asset‑management clients, ensuring compliance with audit standards and delivering a superior client experience.
• Review audit work, financial statements and client deliverables for accuracy and adherence to US GAAP, IFRS, ISA and US GAAS.
• Maintain strong client relationships, addressing needs promptly and effectively.
• Recruit, mentor and retain high‑quality staff, fostering a culture of audit excellence.
• Collaborate on resource planning, staff allocation and operational process improvements.
• Support the firm’s strategic business goals and contribute to operational scalability.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA / ACA / ACCA / CPA with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Minimum two years of asset‑management/funds audit experience.
• At least one year in an audit‑manager role within a medium to large public‑accounting firm.

Required skills

• Proficiency with US GAAP.
• Proficiency with IFRS.
• Proficiency with ISA.
• Proficiency with US GAAS.
