Corporate Lawyer – Cayman Islands

About the role

We are seeking an experienced corporate lawyer to join the corporate team of a leading international firm in the Cayman Islands. The position provides exposure to high‑value cross‑border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private‑equity investments, capital‑markets work and SPAC‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise international corporates, investment banks and financial sponsors on complex M&A, IPO, take‑private and SPAC transactions.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents, shareholder agreements, financing agreements and other corporate paperwork.
• Provide ongoing corporate advisory services, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance and post‑transaction integration.
• Collaborate with global practice groups to deliver seamless, multi‑jurisdictional legal solutions.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer from a recognised jurisdiction (Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Wales, Channel Islands, South Africa).
• Minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law at a reputable firm.
• Demonstrated experience handling cross‑border M&A, private‑equity and capital‑markets transactions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a client‑focused approach.
