Corporate Associate – Offshore Legal Services

About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a Corporate Associate based in the Cayman Islands to join its corporate team. You will work on high‑profile offshore legal matters and collaborate with colleagues across practice groups.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level advice on corporate and commercial matters including M&A, private equity, IPOs, joint ventures, restructurings, SPACs and digital assets.
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents such as share purchase agreements, merger agreements, shareholder agreements and financing documents.
• Coordinate cross‑border transactions with onshore counsel, financial advisors and other stakeholders.
• Keep clients informed of legislative and regulatory developments affecting transactions.
• Support business development, knowledge‑sharing initiatives and internal thought leadership.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of post‑qualification experience at a leading onshore or offshore law firm.
• Strong technical expertise in complex corporate and commercial matters for public and private companies.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills with a commercial focus.
• Proven ability to manage complex matters independently and build strong client relationships.
