Commercial Litigation Lawyer

About the role

A leading multi‑jurisdictional offshore law firm is seeking a commercial litigation lawyer to join its Cayman Islands Dispute Resolution team. You will advise on Cayman law elements of major cross‑border disputes, handling high‑value, varied and technically complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Work on contractual, shareholder or joint‑venture disputes, contentious insolvency, fraud and asset tracing, and specialist banking and financial services litigation.
• Collaborate closely with senior partners and develop client relationships, contributing to both legal work and business development.

Required profile

• Overseas qualified lawyer admitted as a Barrister or Solicitor in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g., Australia, New Zealand, Canada).
• 5‑6 years post‑qualification experience with a focus on high‑value commercial disputes.

Required skills

• Experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
• Strong understanding of Cayman law and offshore financial services.
