Senior Litigation / Disputes Lawyer – Cayman Islands

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Disputes Associate to join a well‑established Cayman Islands law firm. The role offers the chance to work on complex, high‑value cross‑border commercial litigation, international arbitration, shareholder disputes, and contentious insolvency matters while enjoying greater ownership of cases and direct client interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑stakes commercial litigation and arbitration matters from inception to resolution.
• Manage shareholder disputes, restructuring, and contentious insolvency cases for international corporate clients.
• Provide strategic advice to investment funds, financial institutions, and insolvency practitioners.
• Collaborate closely with senior partners, ensuring high‑quality delivery and proactive client communication.
• Contribute to the development of the offshore practice by mentoring junior lawyers and supporting business development initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial litigation, international arbitration, restructuring or contentious insolvency.
• Experience gained within a respected on‑shore or off‑shore practice.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sophisticated, cross‑border disputes.
• Strong analytical and advocacy skills with a client‑focused mindset.
