Paralegal – Offshore Law Firm (Cayman Islands)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established offshore law firm with a global footprint, is looking for a proactive Paralegal to join its Cayman Islands International Private Client (IPC) team. You will support partners and associates across the full matter lifecycle, combining legal research and drafting with practice administration.

Key responsibilities

• Review, summarise and check legal documents and diligence materials for accuracy.
• Conduct legal research, produce clear notes with sources and conclusions.
• Draft routine documents from precedents and flag complex issues for senior counsel.
• Prepare client correspondence, reports, execution packs and coordinate signing logistics.
• Maintain organised, system‑based filing and manage file opening, CDD tracking and outstanding items.
• Support document production for transactions, including bundles and signature copies.
• Coordinate billing activities: narratives, time entries, draft bills, WIP monitoring and liaison with finance.
• Keep CRM updated, assist with business development events, travel and logistics.

Required profile

• High school or degree‑level education; paralegal qualification is a plus.
• Prior experience in a legal environment, preferably in offshore or IPC work.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined and able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn Cayman Islands law and comply with AML/CTF regulations.
