Imaging Manager

About the role

Doctors Hospital is hiring a full-time Imaging Manager in George Town, reporting to the Director of Support and Ancillary Services and the Clinical Director of Imaging. The role covers day-to-day operations of the Imaging department, including clinical, operational and personnel oversight, and the patient experience from reception through to insurance procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement imaging policies, procedures and services, and develop operational policies, protocols and guidelines with the Director of Support and Ancillary Services
• Manage, coordinate and lead the daily running of the department, delegating duties to the Imaging Supervisor and staff
• Ensure compliance with infection control, quality and safety policies, and act as the department's safety officer
• Manage patient scheduling, records and data, and oversee equipment preventive maintenance, inventory and troubleshooting
• Provide staff orientation, training and scheduling, and promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Monitor patient satisfaction, clinical incidents and complaints, and liaise with referring clinics and multidisciplinary teams
• Take part in committees supporting JCI accreditation, including the Environment of Care, Quality Steering, Hospital Managers and Patient Experience committees
• Respond to call-outs within 15 minutes and report to the hospital within 30 minutes; travel to clinics in the Cayman Islands and possibly abroad for training

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited school in a country approved by the Cayman Islands
• At least 5 years of radiography experience using medical technologies and performing diagnostic procedures
• Registered with the Cayman Islands Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM)
• Basic Life Support certification
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience and a supervisory qualification or equivalent

• Written and spoken communication, telephone manner and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and as part of a team
