Sports & Exercise Medicine / Musculoskeletal Physician

About the role

Cayman Medical is seeking an experienced Sports & Exercise Medicine / Musculoskeletal Physician to develop a comprehensive outpatient practice within its multidisciplinary clinic in Grand Cayman. The role is ideal for a physician with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to build and grow their own clinical service while leveraging existing infrastructure and referral networks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal outpatient practice, integrating imaging, treatment, rehabilitation and return‑to‑activity pathways.
• Provide non‑operative care for sports‑related injuries, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, joint disorders, tendinopathies, osteoarthritis, and back/neck pain.
• Perform musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations and ultrasound‑guided joint, tendon and bursal procedures.
• Deliver injection therapies and regenerative treatments where appropriately trained and indicated.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, physiotherapists, and other specialists across the centre.

Required profile

• Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the Cayman Islands (e.g., active GMC licence or equivalent).
• Specialist training and experience in Sports & Exercise Medicine, Musculoskeletal Medicine, or a closely related field.
• Clinically independent, proactive, patient‑focused and comfortable contributing to new program development.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with interest in building a long‑term practice.

Required skills

• Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
• Ultrasound‑guided joint, tendon and bursal procedures.
• Injection therapy and regenerative medicine techniques.
