Associate Funds Lawyer – Offshore Law Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Funds Lawyer to join a leading offshore law firm’s Funds team in the Cayman Islands. The associate will advise global sponsors on all aspects of fund formation, governance, operations, compliance, portfolio investments, restructurings and end‑of‑life solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on fund formation and governance structures.
• Handle operational and compliance matters for international funds.
• Support portfolio investment transactions, restructurings and wind‑down processes.
• Work on high‑value, cross‑border transactions in collaboration with global offices.
• Maintain client relationships throughout the full fund lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in funds law.
• Strong technical knowledge of fund‑related matters.
• Excellent drafting and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
