Service Desk Specialist

About the role

The Service Desk Specialist will maintain reliable technology systems, support users, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with the deployment and upkeep of business applications and network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network systems.
• Provide technical assistance to users and resolve escalated issues that require advanced troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and maintain business applications and technology platforms.
• Monitor system performance and support upgrades to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of enterprise software and specialized business systems.
• Identify technical faults, investigate root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Support system security, data protection, and adherence to established IT procedures.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, system changes, and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• 5-7 years experience in IT support and systems administration.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or equivalent credentials.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networks, and office technology.
• Experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining business applications and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with internet security, data protection, and information privacy principles.
