Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Our client, a well‑established organisation in the Cayman Islands, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the finance team. The role is hands‑on, covering month‑end close, reporting, reconciliations and audit support under US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journals, accruals and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly and annual close, and review balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports, analyse results, identify trends, variances and risks, and recommend actions.
• Collaborate with non‑finance teams to research issues and ensure accurate accounting of transactions.
• Assist internal and external audits, maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Help with budgeting and forecasting and drive improvements to processes, documentation and systems.
• Provide guidance and review support to team members and take on ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA, CA or CMA qualified or working towards.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, including month‑end close; multi‑entity or corporate experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS exposure a plus) and experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Audit experience, including direct work with external auditors.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and clear written and verbal communication.
