Audit Senior Associate – Financial Services

About the role

Join Grant Thornton's Audit department in the Cayman Islands and work closely with audit partners, directors and senior managers to deliver audit services to a portfolio of funds, insurance and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients from audit planning through to completion, ensuring timely submission for manager review.
• Allocate responsibilities to junior and staff auditors and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform effective risk and control assessments across engagements.
• Present audit findings and recommend ways to increase compliance and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA, ACA, ACCA or CPA with at least 2 years of relevant audit experience.
• Experience in a medium to large public accounting or professional services firm; Big‑4 experience is a plus.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of audit engagements.
• Experience auditing financial‑services entities is essential; insurance audit experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of NAIC standards and STAT accounting is a strong advantage.
