Revenue Analyst

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton in Grand Cayman is hiring a Revenue Analyst. The role manages rooms and function space inventory so that it is allocated and restricted properly to maximise revenue and profits, and builds rates, packages and sales strategy information in the hotel's inventory systems. It also contributes to forecasts, budgets and daily and weekly projections.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse revenue, profit and demand for rooms, function space and food and beverage, and critique the effectiveness of sales strategy
• Manage rooms inventory, including cluster rooms, and maintain accuracy and automation in the reservation system
• Manage room authorisations, rates and restrictions, and communicate them to properties
• Perform monthly end reporting and auditing, and prepare competitive analysis and supporting documents for sales strategy meetings
• Generate, process and update property and market revenue management reports, and act as the main source of reporting and analysis for the team
• Maintain systems such as rate hurdles, forecasted demand, group forecasting and daily system checks
• Train new associates on revenue management tools and help implement hotel sales strategies in the reservation and inventory systems

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing or a related field, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Hospitality Management or a related major
• Experience with Marriott systems (Oyv2, Marsha, Opera, CITY, RPO, PRP, Revenue Planning) preferred but not mandatory
• Strong process-driven mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to analyse complex data and build forecasts
• English communication with guests, management and employees
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and stand, sit or walk for long periods

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, data analysis, macros/VBA and automated forecasting tools
• ADP and PeopleSoft experience preferred
• Data coding experience preferred
