Legal Recruiter (Qualified Lawyer) – Cayman Islands

About the role

SteppingStones Legal is seeking a qualified lawyer to transition into a Legal Recruiter position. Based in the Cayman Islands, you will leverage your legal background to source, assess, and place top legal talent for both local and offshore firms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for legal positions, from sourcing to placement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders at client firms.
• Identify and engage high‑quality candidates across the Cayman Islands, the UK and other offshore markets.
• Drive business development initiatives to generate new client opportunities.
• Meet and exceed recruitment targets in a high‑pressure environment.

Required profile

• A qualified lawyer (barrister or solicitor) with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience, or a specialist legal recruiter with extensive full‑lifecycle recruitment experience in Cayman, the UK or offshore.
• Strong academic record and relevant legal qualifications.
• Proven business development skills and ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Proactive self‑starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team.
