Cloud Microservices Engineer – Build Scalable Cloud‑Native Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Microservices Engineer to join a forward‑thinking technology team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud‑native microservices that power critical business operations and drive digital innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable microservices using modern frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, with optional work on GraphQL or gRPC.
• Deploy cloud‑native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Create and manage containerised workloads with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes or managed cloud services.
• Implement event‑driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS/SNS, or EventBridge.
• Collaborate with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment reliability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise performance, scalability and resource utilisation.
• Produce technical documentation, participate in code reviews and support incident resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience developing enterprise‑level software applications.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience building microservices‑based solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.

• Version control and CI/CD tools: Git, automated testing frameworks.

• Messaging and streaming: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS/SNS, EventBridge.
