Professional Support Lawyer – Regulatory

About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a Cayman Islands‑based Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its global regulatory team. Reporting to the Global Head of Professional Support, you will work closely with practice group leaders and partners to provide high‑quality knowledge‑management support without direct client‑facing responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, draft and maintain legal precedents, practice notes and guides.
• Research, monitor and analyse regulatory developments, producing concise briefings, alerts and topical emails.
• Coordinate and, where appropriate, deliver internal and external training sessions on regulatory matters.
• Support client‑development and marketing initiatives by creating thought‑leadership content such as blogs, presentations, podcasts and webinars.
• Review and update checklists and standardised documents to ensure consistency for new joiners and transactional lawyers.
• Liaise with lawyers to gather feedback, promote participation in knowledge‑management programmes and champion the use of knowledge platforms across global teams.
• Participate in project work, collaborating with lawyers and business‑services teams on legal innovation and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum six years post‑qualification experience, preferably as a PSL or fee earner.
• Strong analytical abilities and a meticulous approach to legal research and drafting.
• Collaborative, conscientious and driven, with a commitment to high standards of quality.
• Ability to work under the supervision of practice group leaders and partners.
