About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Marketing and Business Development Manager to support the growth of our Cayman corporate practice, focusing on the US and Latin America markets. The role will involve developing and executing marketing plans, preparing client‑facing materials, and coordinating events across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Support the creation of pitches, proposals, capability statements and other client presentation materials in collaboration with legal partners.
- Maintain BD infrastructure, including standard pitch content, credentials database and CRM software.
- Assist the Manager in planning and executing marketing campaigns.
- Organise global practice‑area industry and client events, liaising with corporate partners in Bermuda and BVI.
- Coordinate client meetings and follow‑ups at events, working with CO delegates.
- Manage relationships with third‑party suppliers, secure sponsorship agreements and provide front‑of‑house support at events.
- Promote events on the website and social media platforms.
- Support on‑island CSR events and client hospitality for the Cayman office.
- Help plan and follow up on BD trips to North America and Latin America.
- Assist with legal directories and awards submissions using firm templates.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team on brand campaigns and communications.
Required profile
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a marketing or business development role within a legal or partnership environment.
- Proven experience organising global events and coordinating delegates across multiple offices.
- Knowledge of relevant practice areas, sectors and key industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- CIM or equivalent qualification essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Team player who can collaborate effectively.
- Applicants must be Caymanian or permanent residents of the Cayman Islands.
