Visa & Immigration Specialist – Cayman Islands

About the role

EY is seeking a Visa & Immigration Supervising Associate to join its Cayman Islands Talent Team. The role ensures full compliance with Cayman Islands immigration legislation while supporting the firm’s ability to attract and retain global talent.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of work permit applications, renewals, amendments, and related immigration activities for new hires and existing employees.
• Provide immigration guidance and support to overseas candidates, prospective joiners, and current staff, ensuring all documentation and statutory requirements are met.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for immigration‑related queries, applying detailed policy and legislative knowledge to resolve issues or escalate complex cases.
• Monitor visa expiry dates, renewal timelines, anniversary fees, and application status to maintain ongoing compliance.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders—including Talent, Recruiters, HR Operations, Finance, and business leaders—to coordinate immigration processes and manage employment changes.
• Draft and manage all immigration correspondence, collaborating with external immigration providers as needed.

Required profile

• Strong technical understanding of immigration processes and Cayman Islands immigration legislation.
• Excellent judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage complex cases with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams and external vendors.
