Multi-State Tax Senior (Investment Management)

About the role

As a Multi-State Tax Senior you will provide tax compliance and consulting services to US investment‑management clients, acting as a trusted advisor on multi‑state tax matters. The role offers continuous learning through exposure to complex tax challenges across a portfolio of investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, plan and execute US tax engagements from start to finish.
• Assist clients with tax planning, research and preparation of state tax compliance filings.
• Utilise tax tools and emerging technologies to improve service delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior tax team members.
• Participate in well‑being, sustainability and community initiatives aligned with Deloitte’s values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Professional designation permitting practice before the US IRS (CPA, attorney, Enrolled Agent) or near completion.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing and reviewing US state tax compliance and filings, including tax planning and position evaluation.
• Experience delivering tax services within a professional services environment.
