Stores Clerk / Driver

About the role

Cayman Airways is looking for a Stores Clerk/Driver in George Town. The role covers loading catering vehicles, servicing aircraft to support on-time departures, delivering goods to all departments and handling the bonded stores, quarantine and tool crib areas. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Load catering vehicles with all carts and service items for aircraft
• Service aircraft to ensure on-time departures, including all galleys and forms
• Carry out deliveries for all departments
• Assist in preparing documentation for the release of incoming items from customs or cargo, and in storing, shipping and receiving aircraft parts, tools and equipment in line with company and regulatory requirements
• Package outgoing items in approved shipping containers and route them and their documentation to the cargo department
• Maintain proper storage conditions in the aircraft Bonded Stores and Tool Crib, including climate, ventilation, racks, spacing and cleanliness; monitor shelf-life and practice stock rotation
• Keep the Bonded, Quarantine, Goods Out and UREC sections clean, tidy and organised
• Receive unused parts credited to stores and route them to Quarantine Stores
• Update the computer inventory system and company records as directed by the Supervisor

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Cayman Islands Group 4 driver's licence
• Physical ability to stand for long hours, climb stairs and lift heavy parcels and baggage up to 70 pounds
• Able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Required skills

• Working knowledge of computer applications
• Basic general knowledge of airline operations procedures
