Senior Vice President - Structured Finance, Cayman Islands

About the role

Walkers Professional Services, part of the international law firm Walkers, is hiring a Senior Vice President Fiduciary – Asset Finance/Structured Finance in the Cayman Islands. The role leads the execution and oversight of complex transactions such as asset finance, CLOs, CFOs and note issuance structures, blending technical expertise with client leadership. It sits within a team redefining fiduciary and corporate services.

Key responsibilities

• Drive transactions from structuring through to close, leading documentation review, resolving issues and coordinating with legal counsel, auditors and service providers.
• Manage a portfolio of entities and act as a trusted advisor to investment managers, sponsors and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Cayman Islands requirements (BO, ES, AML/AEOI) and maintain operational excellence in billing, data integrity and lifecycle management.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities, strengthening client relationships and helping win proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting or a related field; a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or ACA is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years in financial services, with significant exposure to asset finance and/or structured finance and demonstrable director-level experience, ideally in the Cayman Islands.
• Deep technical knowledge of asset finance and/or structured finance products, corporate governance and offshore regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record in client relationship management and business development, and the ability to originate and convert opportunities into revenue.
• Ability to manage multiple complex transactions under tight deadlines and to mentor junior team members.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with systems such as Viewpoint, Oracle or equivalent is advantageous.

What we offer

• Salary range of US$170,000 to US$235,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
