Senior Vice President - Captive/Reinsurance

About the role

A recruitment agency is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Senior Vice President for a leading captive insurance organisation. The role sits in the senior leadership team and shapes the strategy, operations and growth of the firm, advising captive owners, reinsurers, brokers and regulators across international insurance markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead captive insurance management services across a portfolio of sophisticated captive and reinsurance entities.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for key clients, giving strategic guidance on governance, regulation, operations and business matters.
• Build relationships with regulators, brokers, auditors, legal counsel and other stakeholders.
• Oversee financial reporting, audits, board meetings, regulatory filings and other client deliverables.
• Lead, mentor and develop client service professionals.
• Drive business development, identify growth opportunities and support revenue generation.
• Support operational excellence and process improvement, and take part in strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional designation such as ACII, CPCU, CPA, CA, ACA or ACCA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in captive insurance, insurance management, reinsurance or financial services, with significant leadership responsibilities.
• Proven people leadership experience and demonstrated success in business development, client retention and stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of captive insurance structures, regulatory requirements, corporate governance and insurance operations.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging boards, regulators and senior executives.
