Senior Litigation Associate

About the role

Harneys is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Cayman litigation team. You will work on high‑value commercial litigation and insolvency matters, ranging from urgent interim relief applications to full trials, including shareholder disputes and injunctions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored legal advice and take decisive action on complex commercial disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research and produce first‑class opinions.
• Draft clear, concise letters, reports, and court documents in plain language.
• Interview and advise clients, helping them choose the best course of action.
• Deliver confident written and oral advocacy in time‑sensitive environments.
• Contribute to business development by promoting firm services and generating new client relationships.

Required profile

• Barrister or qualified solicitor with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to manage matters independently and build strong client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to engage actively in business development and networking.
• Capability to lead teams and manage workloads calmly.
