Of Counsel - Litigation

About the role

A leading offshore law firm based in the Cayman Islands is recruiting an Of Counsel to join its Dispute Resolution and Insolvency team. The team advises multinational corporations, investment and private equity funds, insolvency practitioners and financial institutions on complex cross-border disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex international commercial disputes and cross-border insolvency and restructuring matters
• Develop strategies to manage and resolve contentious issues
• Work closely with partners on multi-jurisdictional matters and give commercially focused legal advice
• Support the mentoring and development of junior lawyers

Required profile

• 10+ years' professional qualifying experience
• Strong commercial litigation and insolvency experience
• Willingness to mentor junior members of the firm
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
