Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to support the Finance Department in the Cayman Islands. You will lead reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Support annual business planning, monthly forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and financial reporting requirements.
• Partner with business leaders to improve operational efficiency and support strategic initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop team members, fostering a high‑performance and inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA, CGA or equivalent).
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in financial reporting, planning, forecasting and business performance management.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations.
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with financial reporting systems.
