Investor Services Officer

About the role

State Street is looking for an Investor Services Officer in Grand Cayman to oversee the Investor Services client service team (Associates and Senior Associates), manage client relationships and act as escalation point for technical issues. The role also includes supporting business growth through onboarding of new clients and fostering a continuous learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Investor Services team, manage daily priorities, plan work and manage resources including recruitment of new staff
• Manage team HR policies, performance and career development
• Build and maintain client relationships through regular meetings and forums, and act as point of contact for client escalations
• Final sign-off on internal (e.g. NAV), client and investor reporting so that fund activity is recorded accurately and in line with policies and procedures
• Take ownership of daily, cash and trade reconciliations
• Identify gaps in internal key controls and work with the wider TA manager/director group to close them, promoting a risk-awareness culture and the zero-error policy
• Participate in department-wide training, draft and deliver courses and facilitate on-the-job training for Senior Associates

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or relevant experience (2+ years)
• 4+ years of fund administration experience
• 2+ years of people management experience
• Experience managing client relationships and hedge fund experience
• Knowledge of Private Equity (P/E) funds
• Caymanian or spouse of a Caymanian

Required skills

• Good working knowledge (2+ years) of AML and industry regulations
• Knowledge of transfer agency policies and procedures and use of ISS (AIS's enterprise-wide Investor Services system)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
