Director of Events

About the role

The Director of Events will lead the events team at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa, ensuring flawless execution of meetings, conferences and special occasions while delivering outstanding guest experiences and driving profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the events, convention service, sales and catering teams.
• Sell rooms and event space, securing bookings that meet revenue targets.
• Plan, coordinate and execute banquets, conferences and special events from concept to completion.
• Manage event budgets, contracts and profitability analyses.
• Collaborate with other resort departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in events or hospitality management.
• Strong track record of achieving sales and profitability goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working in a resort or luxury hotel environment.
