Associate – Litigation & Dispute Resolution (5+ years PQE)

About the role

We are partnering with a premier offshore firm to hire an Associate for its expanding Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. The role offers the chance to work alongside leading practitioners on complex, high‑value, multi‑jurisdictional disputes across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist partners and senior associates in developing legal strategies for litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, court documents, and hearing bundles.
• Prepare evidence, manage case files, and attend client meetings and court proceedings.
• Support the full lifecycle of disputes, including insolvency, restructuring, asset recovery, commercial litigation, shareholder and funds disputes, crypto‑related matters, trusts litigation, and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
• Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and the growth of the firm’s international practice.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience, preferably in an offshore or international law firm.
• Strong academic background.
• Good working knowledge of Cayman Islands law and legal procedures (beneficial).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
