Valuation, Modeling and Economics Manager

About the role

EY is looking for a Valuation, Modeling and Economics (VME) Manager to join its VME team in the Cayman Islands. The firm's Strategy and Transactions Practice helps clients choose the right deal and execute it well, and this role sits at the heart of high-profile transactions, using leading business tools and methodologies to serve sophisticated clients.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and assist with valuation and financial analyses, applying valuation theories and approaches
• Gather and analyse information, and take part in formulating valuation approaches
• Develop valuation and other business models
• Assist in preparing valuation reports for financial reporting, transactions, tax and litigation
• Travel as necessary and assist on other projects within Strategy and Transactions and EY

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, with demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
• At least 5 years of valuation experience in professional services or a Big 4 firm
• Commitment to pursuing a relevant business valuation professional designation
• Ideally, achievement or progress towards a designation such as CFA, CBV, ASA/AM or another recognised one

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
• MS Office proficiency, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Multi-tasking, problem solving, research and report writing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to listen to and meet client needs
